Amy on the Summer Road ( Review)

ich hoffe ihr hattet eine tolle Woche bis jetzt! Ich möchte euch heute von einem meiner neuen Lieblingsbücher erzählen : Amy on the Summer Road von Morgan Matson. Es hat mich wirklich überrascht, wie gut mir das Buch gefallen hat. Vor allem für eine Leseratte wie mich ist die hohe Seitenanzahl schonmal ein wichtiger Faktor.

I hope, you have had a great week 'til now! I want to tell you about one of my new favorite books : Amy on the Summer Road by Morgan Matson. I was really surprised, how much I liked it. 


Inhalt : 

Amys Vater ist gestorben und sie steht alleine mit ihren Schuldgefühlen da. Ihre Mutter bereitet den Umzug nach Conneticut vor und ihr Bruder ist in der Entzugsklinik. Amy soll nun auch nach Conneticut fahren und zwar mit dem Sohn einer Bekannten, Roger. Anfangs kommt ihr das Ganze nicht unbedingt wie eine tolle Idee vor , aber dann wird aus der langweiligen Fahrt ein spannender Roadtrip, auf dem sowohl Roger als auch Amy einige Sachen verarbeiten.


Amy's father died and she's left alone with her guilt. Her mother is preparing the move to Connecticut and her brother is in rehab. Amy is supposed to drive to Connecticut too, with the son of her mother's friend. At first she isn't too excited about the idea, but suddenly the boring drive turns into an exciting roadtrip, during which both Roger and Amy process some things.



Meine Meinung :

Trotz der vielen Seiten hatte ich das Buch innerhalb kürzester Zeit ausgelesen, weil es einfach so mitreißend war und es wirklich Spaß gemacht hat ,,AOTSR´´ zu lesen. Die beiden Hauptpersonen haben mir auf Anhieb gefallen und durch die Seiten aus Amys Reise-Scrapbook ( teilweise mit Fotos)  kann man sich den Roadtrip der beiden noch besser vorstellen. Ich habe sofort Lust bekommen, ebenfalls einfach irgendwohin zu fahren.

Although the book had quite a lot of pages, I read it in a really short time. It was just so captivating and fun to read. I liked the two main characters immediately and the pages of Amy's scrapbook ( sometimes with photos) helped you picture the roadtrip. I wanted to drive somewhere right away after reading this book.
